Most Common Yeast Infections In Men

Though male yeast infections are less common than yeast infections in women, they can occur in several parts of the body. The most common types of yeast infection in men are on their feet (“athlete’s foot”), in the mouth (“oral thrush”), or on the penis. Because yogurt is such a versatile natural cure for yeast infections, it can be used to treat the infection no matter where it occurs!

Yogurt Recipes That Can Cure Yeast Infections in Men

One way to cure a yeast infection with yogurt is by adding yogurt to your daily diet. This can be done in a variety of ways to suit your own tastes. First and foremost, you must eat plain, natural yogurt: the sugars that are added in many flavored yogurts actually help the candida yeast grow, and that is the opposite of what you want! Check out my great recipe below to see how you can incorporate yoghurt into your diet!

Recipe: Protein Power Shake

  • 1 cup all-natural plain yoghurt
  • ½ cup soy milk
  • 2 scoops protein powder
  • 1 banana
  • ¼ cup peanut butter

  • Place the milk, yoghurt and protein powder in a blender. Blend until combined.
  • Roughly chop the banana into chunks and then add it and the peanut butter to the blender. Blend until all ingredients are combined.
  • If the texture is too thick, add a few extra tablespoons of soy milk.

While yoghurt is a great dairy product to be consuming while battling a yeast infection, you should try to stay away from other dairy products, which is why I’ve recommended you use soy milk for this recipe. If you cannot abide the taste of soy milk, you can add some water or all-natural fruit juice – just make sure it contains no added sugar!

How To Apply Yogurt to Male Yeast Infections

Yogurt can also be used for an all-natural topical treatment of yeast infections in male by applying it directly to the site of infection. This is most effective in the treatment of athlete’s foot and yeast infections on the penis. Wherever the infection is, you should always use all-natural plain yogurt, as the sugars and sweeteners added to many yogurts actually encourage the growth of candida, rather than work with the yogurt and the body to fight of this nasty fungus.

Instructions on Applying Yoghurt Topically

  • Make sure the yoghurt is fresh of out the refrigerator (the cold yogurt will also provide a cool, soothing sensation).
  • Apply a thin, even layer of yoghurt on the affected area.
  • Leave the yoghurt on the area for at least 1-2 hours. It will begin to take affect soon after it is applied, so be patient and let it remain on the area undisturbed!
  • After the yogurt treatment has done its work, clean the area and dry it thoroughly – this is important to remember, as you want to make sure that you do not provide the candida with the moist environments it thrives in!

  • The area should remain uncovered, which is relatively easy to accomplish with the feet – just sit back and put your feet up for a while!
  • If your yeast infection is on your penis, you may wish to apply the yogurt before bed and keep a cloth over the area overnight to avoid any contact with your bed sheets.

Believe it or not, you can actually prevent yeast infections with yogurt! This is one of the many advantages of using a home remedy for curing yeast infections in male, as their amazing qualities as treatments can continue even after the infection has cleared up. By continuing to eat yogurt on a regular basis, you can make sure your body is constantly supplied with the necessary good bacteria that it needs in order to keep the numbers of candida fungus in check. So remember that in addition to using yogurt to treat yeast infections naturally, you can also use it to prevent them completely!
