How To Apply Tea Tree Oil to Cure Yeast Infections on Skin

Another great treatment method for using tea tree oil for yeast infection on the skin is topical application. This is a great treatment option for yeast infections on the skin because the tea tree oil is able to do its work right at the site of the infection. Learn how to do this below!

Topically Apply Tea Tree Oil to Skin

  • ¼ cup tea tree oil
  • ¼ cup water
  • Cotton balls

  • Soak a cotton ball in the oil or oil mixture and apply it directly to the yeast infection on your skin.
  • Leave the soaked cotton ball to sit there for at least one hour (you can even leave it on overnight if this makes the treatment easier, as it may be trickier to leave a cotton ball on some parts of the body than others).
  • Once the treatment time is up, remove the cotton ball and carefully wash the infected area.
  • Make sure to dry the area thoroughly, as the candida yeast loves warm and moist environments and you do not want to undo all of the hard work the tea tree oil has just done!

Depending on the sensitivity of your skin, you can use either pure tea tree oil or mix the tea tree oil with olive oil to create a more diluted and sensitive solution for this treatment method.
