Yummy Yogurt Recipes for Yeast Infection during Pregnancy

Yogurt for Yeast Infection during Pregnancy

Many women will experience a yeast infection during pregnancy, and it is especially crucial that you choose a natural cure for yeast infections during this very important time for you and your baby. Although you are normally equipped with the right amount of good bacteria to fend off a yeast infection, because of the hormonal changes that take place during pregnancy, your body starts producing more estrogen, which has been linked to increased production of the candida fungus.

Most commonly these infections occur in the vagina, but they can also happen on parts of the skin or in the mouth (more commonly known as “oral thrush”). But no matter where the yeast infection occurs, you can treat it naturally with yogurt – and we’ll tell you how in this article!

Yogurt Recipes to Treat Yeast Infections During Pregnancy

Yogurt is an incredibly versatile cure that can both cure and prevent yeast infections, as you will learn from this article and the additional information contained in this fantastic and helpful eBook. One of the easiest and most effective ways to treat yeast infections with yogurt is by adding it to your daily diet.

Eating yogurt will also give you added nutritional benefits such as calcium and protein, so it is best to start putting this on your grocery list as soon as possible! Do make sure to buy all-natural, plain yogurt that does not contain any added sugar or sweeteners: these will only encourage the growth of the candida fungus, and therefore undo all of the good work that the yogurt is doing! Recipe: Curry in a Hurry

  • 1 cup all-natural plain yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp mild or medium curry powder, depending on your tastes
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 2 large boneless and skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized chunks
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • In a large frying pan, heat up ½ tbsp. olive oil. When it is warmed, add the chicken and cook until done.
  • Remove the chicken and place on a paper towel to soak up any excess oil.
  • Add the remaining ½ tbsp. of olive oil to the pan. Place the bell pepper and onion into the pan and cook for about 5 minutes, until the onions are slightly translucent.
  • Add the chicken back into the pan and sprinkle the curry powder over the chicken and vegetables. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Add the yoghurt to the chicken and vegetables and stir until it has coated everything and become a bit loose with the heat.
  • Serve over boiled rice and enjoy!

Depending on your tastes, you may want to add more or less curry powder. All good chefs tastes as they go, so add a little curry powder at first, taste the sauce, and see if you want to up the spice level!
